Full Day Training
GENERAL COURSE OVERVIEW
When working in areas where there is a risk of exposure to a fall hazard this course will provide the basic knowledge required to work safely. Safe practices and procedures for working at heights specified in the Green Book, (Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations) will be covered.
Our Working at Heights training is a full day (the course length may vary depending on class size and experience of participants).

Part One: Rights and Responsibilities
• Identification of the Hazards of Working at Heights
• Eliminating or Controlling the Hazards of Working at Heights
• Warning Methods and Physical Barriers
• Ladders and Similar Equipment
• Personal Fall Protection Equipment
Part 2: Working at Heights Practical Equipment Course
• Barriers and other fixed equipment
• Personal Fall Protection Equipment
• Anchor Points
• Work Positioning Systems
• Work Access Equipment and Platforms
• Platforms Rescue Planning
Evaluation and Proof of Completion
Names of participants and Photo ID are required the day of the training. All participants will be required to complete and pass a written test with a 75% mark. Proof of completion will be provided
Saturday dates are available to accommodate work schedules.
$150 + HST (includes training, proof of completion- temporary wallet card, registration with the MOLTSD).
Working at Heights Training Refresher

GENERAL COURSE OVERVIEW
This Construction Refresher has been designed to reinforce key learning outcomes of the original working at heights training. Participants must demonstrate their continued knowledge of the correct use of fall protection equipment. The program focuses on the practical portion from the full day training (the application and use of different fall protection systems, their parts and limitations).
Learners must demonstrate how to inspect the equipment, put on and take off the harness, and maintain 100% tie-off.
Our Working at Heights Refresher training is a half day (the course length may vary depending on class size and experience of participants).

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
Recognize working at heights hazards
Explain the hierarchy of controls
Discuss safe work plans
Identify and assess when ladders are appropriate
Describe types of warning methods and physical barriers
Identify when warning methods and physical barriers are required
Discuss limitations, application, and storage of different fall protection systems
Calculate fall distances
Demonstrate how to inspect equipment, put on and take off a harness, and maintain 100% tie-off
Discuss the differences between permanent, temporary and structural anchors
Select the appropriate fall protection equipment when working in a platform
Explain the purpose, roles, and responsibilities of workplace parties with respect to a rescue plan
